 “Let’s Twist Again Like We Did Last Summer” - This 1961 Chubby Checker follow up hit to “The Twist,” is meant to trigger nostalgia. Asimo, the Japanese robot, stands at the top of the painting. On one side of the painting, the heart and circulatory system exist, while on the other side, digital implications hold court. The two figures are in dance mode, while simultaneously being hooked to both systems. The African woman signifies the beginning of the human race. The man is taken from a polychrome sculpture of the artist Vernon Fisher.
